Lake Tahoe Wedding Inspiration | Garden Roses

There are so many types of roses out there it's easy to get confused! I wanted to highlight the garden rose today because it's a much softer and fuller rose than the traditional "import rose" you see in grocery stores. It is also a great substitute for those brides looking to have a beautiful peony bouquet but are not getting married in Spring or early Summer, which is the peony's growing season. The many layers of the garden rose open up to create a gorgeous and soft flower!

Behind the Scenes with One Fine Day | Wedding & Design Inspiration

One Fine Day is a one stop shop to any and everything you might need to make the wedding in your mind come to life. With that being said, it takes lots of inspirational research to make sure each bride + groom gets the wedding for their dream-books. To help with this, our design team spends hours researching decor ideas and perfecting each and every detail to make sure all events are customized to the tee and reflect each couple's vision. I've collected a few of our favorite inspirational themes for our upcoming weddings this summer and wanted to share how this whole process starts!

There are many aspects that go into planning a beautiful and exquisite event, and I think the design process may be the most fun part!

Behind the Scenes | Design Research

Here at One Fine Day Events we are constantly trying to stay on top of the latest trends and styles, and with that requires really fun "research" projects! We scour bridal events, paper shops, design stores and clothing boutiques to research and perfect each client's dream vision for their wedding. A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of attending the Soolip Bridal Event in San Francisco. Afterwards, we took full advantage of being in the city and visited lots of shops, boutiques, and stores to make sure we have every option available at our fingertips to create the perfect design + details for each client's wedding. We gathered inspiration from fabrics, stationary and paper goods, food stores, flower shops, and even bed linens! Here are a few pics of us hard at work!

We were just a tad bit overwhelmed with Paper Source's reams of patterned paper...but we managed to select a few beauties for our upcoming photo shoots and weddings!! Looking forward to see what we put together!

Fab Find | Emily Post's Etiquette

Emily Post is the quintessential advice guru and they've just come out with the latest edition of wedding advice that will prove valuable even after the "I Do's." Emily Post' Etiquette, 18th Edition - Manners for a New World features a section on nuptials and covers everything from classic manners and wedding no-nos to first-time topics including tweeting, iphone usage, Facebook etiquette and traditions from both the classic and new wedding era.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the latest edition so you'll alway's be on top of your P's and Q's!

Fab Find | Advice Books with Marloe Press

Everyone always has advice for a what makes a happy marriage, and usually it's some pretty sound advice! Marloe Press has come up with a great little book for brides that pairs advice from contemporary married couples with vintage wedding photographs. This little advice book would make for a great bride's gift to banish those pre-wedding jitters and get ready for the I do's!
